Cherry blossoms in spring and changing leaves in autumn—the changes with the seasons represent the beauty of Japan. Incorporating the element of time is, in a way, a fundamental approach to landscape design. On the other hand, costs and ease of work are significant issues for those in charge of maintenance. If fact, external design without attention to maintenance, regardless of how beautiful it is at the time of construction, is bound to fall into disrepair over time, moving away from the original intentions of the design. We are always mindful of maintenance, and use feedback from maintenance operators to gain insight to drive further improvements in our designs. We also place focus on design services for maintenance after the completion of building projects, such as development, maintenance, and renewal of green spaces.
